This bustling Kuching seafood spot truly embodies the Sarawak dining experience. Despite being a simple, no-frills shop, it consistently draws massive crowds—a clear testament to its quality. The seafood is exceptionally fresh and prepared with authentic local flair. Dishes arrive quickly thanks to the fast, efficient service, ensuring minimal wait time even during peak hours. The food is expertly cooked, delivering bold, satisfying flavors and generous portions that offer fantastic value. It’s loud, lively, and delivers some of the best, most sought-after seafood in the city.

Visited Bukit Mata Seafood at Top Spot Kuching and overall had a good experience. The food was delicious, with the cooks preparing dishes that really brought out the local flavors. The atmosphere was lively and vibrant, especially during peak hours—it’s definitely the place to be if you want to soak in the Kuching dining vibes. On the downside, service was a bit slow for us (just 2 pax), as it took more than an hour for our food to arrive, while larger groups that came after us were already almost done with their meals. Also, not all the seafood felt at its freshest. That said, I’d still come back again when I’m in Kuching—the flavors make it worth repeating, and I hope service and freshness can be improved further.

Delicious seafood. Havent been here for a while so you need to come with a few friends since the smallest portion is for 2-3pax. That said, try to have a variety of cooking style so you dont get bored, we mistakenly ordered more dishes to be fried. Wish the dip for fried calamari was the Thai chili sauce or at least the Chinese stylr garlic chili sauce.

Very reasonable price for seafood at a touristy location right smack in city centre. 3 big crabs at rm150 cooked with salted egg. Other dishes reasonably priced as well. Service is super efficient. If u booked a day before, they will reserve the table for you. Dishes served as soon as you let them know, literally in a few minutes. You just need to order what u want earlier. Well staffed, attentive, environment might be a bit hot, maybe noisy depends where you are seated. Must come for tourist and locals alike.

Bukit Mata Seafood is a great place to enjoy delicious and fresh seafood. The food is very tasty, well-cooked, and full of flavour. I especially like how the dishes are served hot and nicely prepared. The staff are friendly, helpful, and always make you feel welcome. The overall atmosphere is comfortable, making it a nice spot for family dinners or gatherings with friends. If you love good seafood and warm service, Bukit Mata Seafood is definitely worth a visit!

Highly recommended by a local. The Gerai 25 was much more packed compared to Gerai 30 next door. Kindly ask the waitress to help locate a table for you in case it belong to another gerai. We arrived malam 25 Dec 2025 and expected it to be jam pack since its Christmas hols. Didn’t wait long and the food we ordered arrived pretty quick. We were advised not to order the chinese fried rice due to the loooomg que. Nasi putih pun sedap makan with seafood. We were a group of 10pax and from the pictures we devoured almost everything! Total bill for 10 dishes with drinks approx. RM500.

I was thrilled when they agreed to serve just the ikan bakar sambal—something most places don’t offer. The sambal is simply amazing! All the other dishes were delicious too. The oyster omelette was a bit oily, and the portion seemed more suitable for 10 people rather than 8, just my two cents. But seriously, I can’t get over that ikan bakar sambal! Make sure to visit before nightfall to fully enjoy the experience. And yeah it’s also Halal!
